Colour, blondes, extensions, cutting and the whole beauty side in one room on Marlborough Street, so nobody has to drive to Launceston for it.
Welcome to
Kendra & Krew Hair & beauty, Longford
Kendra Perkins opened the salon on 5 October 2019, in the old post office building on Marlborough Street. It has been the hair chair for Longford ever since, and the beauty room grew up beside it.
Colour is what the salon is known for. Blondes and balayage, colour correction, vivid work, and the kind of tonal brunette that reads as depth rather than a dye job. Extensions, cutting, and formal and bridal styling run from the same book.
Nails, waxing, tinting, lash lift and spray tan sit on that booking page too, which is the point of the place. Hair and beauty in one visit, in your own town, twenty minutes short of the drive to Launceston.

Colour & blondes
The thing the salon is known for. Balayage and foils, all-over colour, correction, and vivid work that is quoted after a consultation.
Cutting & styling
Cutting, treatments and blow-dries from the same chair, plus the extensions and the formal and bridal work that book their own time.
Nails & beauty
The rest of the appointment you would otherwise drive to Launceston for, done in the same room while a colour develops.Prices are not published on this page. Chocolate mauve
A cool mauve laid through a natural brunette so it reads as depth rather than a dye job.

Glossy brunette
Toned and glossed brunette. The shine is the whole point of this one.

Cream and honey
Blonde built in layers so the roots stay soft and the grow-out stays wearable.
-
Copper red
Full saturated copper red. The kind of colour you come to a colourist for.

Formal styling
Braided half-up with a curl set, done for a formal. Styling runs on its own booking.
Your own result depends on where your hair is starting from, which is why colour and extensions are quoted after a consultation. Book the consultation and the appointment together.

Meet the Krew
One room, one Krew, since 2019.
The book takes ladies, men and kids, a first-time colour and a regular of six years, a school formal in October and a Saturday morning trim. Everybody in that photograph works the same room.
If you are not sure which appointment you need, ring the salon. Kendra would rather talk it through than have you guess and end up booked into the wrong chair.

I have been going to Kendra & Krew for over a year now, I am so happy that I have found my favourite hair salon and now favourite hairdresser Ellen. I always leave with my hair done just how I like it and feeling fab. She does a wonderful job every time and is such a lovely person to chat with throughout. The salon is fair and affordable with their pricing compared to other salons, and Longford being such a beautiful country town is worth the drive out for the day. Plus no parking hassles. And I love the complimentary cookies too.
First time. Impressed. An unassuming shop front leads into a warm welcome and a well set out salon. Regardless of if you are a local, the service is grand. Ellen, brilliant. I was very vague about what I wanted. Ellen had great knowledge and suggestions, made me feel comfortable from the start. I am very happy with my new cut and colour. Professional, friendly. Every box ticked.
Such a great experience for my 2.5 year old's first hair cut. Courtney knew all the tricks for doing toddler cuts and all left very happy. Thank you!
Has been my hairdresser for some years and can see no reason to change. Very professional and friendly service.

Questions about the Longford salon
Anything not covered here, ring the salon. Kendra would rather answer it than have you guess.
All the questionsWhere exactly is Kendra & Krew?
At 7 Marlborough Street, Longford, in the old post office building. Longford is about twenty minutes south of Launceston, and there is street parking at the door.
Do I need to book, or can I walk in?
Book. Everything runs by appointment, so the chair is held for you. You can book online any time of day or ring the salon on (03) 6391 1376 during opening hours.
Can I get hair and beauty done in the same visit?
Yes, and that is the reason a lot of people come here. Hair, nails, waxing, tinting, lash lift and spray tan are all under the one roof, so a colour and a set of nails can sit in the same appointment window. Mention it when you book so the time gets allowed.
Do you do extensions?
Yes. All hair services here include extensions. Extensions start with a consultation so the length, the method and the colour match get sorted before anything is ordered.
What does it cost?
Pricing is not published on the website yet. Current prices for every service sit on the booking page, and Kendra will quote colour and extensions after a consultation, because the length and the history of your hair change the number.
Are you open outside work hours?
Thursday runs late, until 8pm. Saturday mornings are open until 2pm. Sunday is closed.
Do you do formals and weddings?
Yes. Formal and bridal styling is booked separately from a normal blow-dry so there is enough time in the chair. Get in early for the school formal season.
